St. Patricks' Day in Kansas City    Celebrate Kansas City's rich Irish History with festivities and celebrations ALL month long! Watch a parade, enjoy an Irish Magic Show, listen to Irish music, visit the Kansas City Irish Museum, and remember to wear green in honor of St. Patrick himself!

 

Irish Fun All Month Long!

  • Explore and research Irish Genealogy. View the exhibit "The Irish and Kansas City" and learn about the influence of the Irish on our city's history. While adults browse the genealogy records or the exhibit, kids can be close by reading Irish storybooks, working on an Irish puzzle, coloring pages, watching Darby O’Gill and the Little People, or meeting Charlie the singing horse, who has retired to the Irish Center after many years in the Kansas City St Patrick’s Day Parade.

  • Free entrance, $1 tickets for some activities. Warm refreshments. What do you do with the whole family on St. Pat’s? Bring them to the Irish Center before or after the Parade! There will be family-friendly games, crafts, music, contests and refreshments all day! While everyone’s having fun, we’ll also learn something about our Irish heritage! Detailed schedule will be posted soon. Free or $1 activities include face painting, decorate an Irish bowler hat, make Celtic art stained glass page, plant a shamrock to take home, Irish balloon figures, Irish karaoke, music, storytelling, your name in Gaelic, Reddest Head contest, scavenger hunt. Workshops include Irish dance, penny whistle and bodhran (Celtic drum).

Spring Fling Fun at Ernie Miller Nature Park

North Kansas City Snake Saturday Parade & Festival: Snake Saturday to Celebrates 26 Years of Irish Fun and Charitable Giving.
