Marisa Frymire is thrilled to be a stay-at-home mom to a beautiful, active young daughter. Besides playing on the floor and reading Brown Bear, Brown Bear, you can find Marisa enjoying Sunday dinners with family, jogging around the neighborhood, taking pictures of her daughter, searching the internet for new recipes, and watching Lost on Wednesday nights with her husband, Nathan. Marisa has lived in Kansas City all her life, and thinks this really is one of the greatest cities to raise a family. She and her husband love living life together and making a home in Overland Park with their precious daughter.

  • Dad Takes Risks

    The other week, my husband and I met for lunch at Chick-fil-A with 2 other friends/co-workers, their wives, and their kids. All of our kids are in the 18-24month range.

    After eating, the dads couldn't wait to take the kids into the play gym area. Of course, I see that as a place for breeding germs and all things NASTY, but my husband's quick reply was, "You've got hand sanitizer, right?" As if saying "yes" ...

  • Learning With One

    Most days with my daughter, things go smoothly. I have been very blessed with her little personality. She's not much of a risk taker, and has responded fairly well to our discipline. She's laid back and easy going, and most of my days I haven't felt stressed.

  • Feeling Silly When You Parent

    Yesterday we had a playdate with two friends and each of their kids. The kids range in age from 15 months to 23 months, which means they have all entered the lovely stage of toddlerhood!
