Taking Time For You

This September has been crazy busy for me. With the new position at work, school starting and life in general, it seems like I can’t find time to catch my breath. I didn’t realize how busy it would be and so several months ago, I planned for a weekend away (with my brother) to see one of our favorite bands perform. It seemed like a great idea at the time but as it got closer, I kept thinking it was not so smart of me to go out of town at such a busy time but tickets had been purchased and plans had been made, so I went.

Seems going away was just what I needed! For 48 hours I got to eat leisurely meals of “grown-up” food, wake when I wanted, spend the time doing things that interested me and see an awesome show! It turned out to be the perfect time for me to get away. I have been able to approach all of the hectic days with a calm and sense of renewal, just because I took 2 days for myself.

If you haven’t been away alone for a while (or ever for that matter!) I highly suggest you make the time. It may seem like you don’t have the time, but sometimes you just need to take the time, whether you have it or not.
