Recharging Mom's Batteries

Sometimes it is piece of dark chocolate savored while the kids are having rest time. Other times it is waking up early before everyone else and enjoying a cup of coffee. It can even be a run on the treadmill after the kids are tucked in for the night.

Call it my daily indulgence or guilty pleasure, it doesn't matter. The point is sometimes all it takes is five minutes to help me recharge and take on the rest of the day with a smile on my face.

Do you have a daily indulgence that refreshes you?

Email and Facebook time, quiet walks with a neighbor at 5:30 a.m. twice a week, and eating ice cream or a special snack when both of my children are asleep!

That second cup of coffee! A must-have during nap time. ANY reading material is an added bonus.

I take care of my grandkids 5 days a week.First thing in the morning before they wake up I enjoy checking my e-mails and looking at my facebook.I also try to get all my mom blogging done and all my comments for Parents Magazine done. Its become a regular hobby of mine that I really enjoy.I always have to have a pepsi first thing before I get started to wake me up and then I'm ready to get started.

Thanks for sharing.  Good to know other mamas/grandmamas have fun ways to keep themselves going throughout the day!
