Do you believe in Love at First Sight? I do. No, wait... is it love at first sight if it didn't start at sight? Maybe it's love at first knowing, anticipating, feeling, hearing.... but absolute, unconditional, out of this world LOVE at first sight that moment when you hold your baby for the very first time!
Four years ago today, I experienced Love at First Sight. I became a mom to one of the most wonderful girls I've ever known. From the second I saw her, it was a love like no other... until her sister came... and until her next sister comes... a love just for them. It's amazing to watch my girls grow and change.
Today, I say Happy Birthday to the girl who wakes me every morning with, 'Good Morning Mommy! God turned the lights on. It's time to get up." The girl who will run into the living room to say, "Mommy, mommy I have something VERY important to tell you.... I ADORE you." The girl who tells me after one of our excursions that I am "her Best Mommy" (this always makes me laugh - as though I had competitors). She also adores her Daddy and loves to count 1-2-3 and shout, 'I Love Daddy' at the top of her lungs to surprise him! Her laugh is infectious. Her smile is contagious. Her energy is boundless... the first person I have ever known whose energy exceeded my own. Her enthusiasm for life and learning is incredible. She is a little artist, extremely imaginative, and very loving. I can hardly remember life before she was born.
And so, Four years ago today... I experienced Love at First Sight. I am a believer. Happy Birthday my little princess!
