On a recent playdate, we enjoyed lunch with friends at Uno Pizzeria. I love Uno's 5 Cheese Pizza, but it's a little too "Gourmet" for my three year old's tastebuds. We were so excited to discover "Make Your Own Pizza" on the menu! For $3.99, they provide crust, sauce, cheese, and pepperoni (optional) and a disposable apron so Jr. Chefs can create their very own lunch!
She prepared her pizza, wrote her name on a popsicle stick that was inserted in the crust to identify her creation from her friends', and the waiter took it to the kitchen for baking. It was served hot and ready to two hungry little girls (my daughters shared)!
I asked later if she had fun at lunch and she answered, "No mommy, I didn't have fun. I had LOTS of fun!" Now that we've clarified that.... I absolutely love the idea and wish more restaurants would implement such a great concept!
