Review: The Nativity by Mesner Puppet Theater

The Nativity is a show unlike any other. Set at the magnificent Grace & Holy Trinity Cathedral, a masterpiece built in the heart of downtown in 1935, the show is sacred, majestic, and sincere in its telling of the Christ child's birth.

Skiing Utah

Nestled in Utah’s Wasatch Mountain Range, Park City is one of the best little ski towns in America, offering sweeping landscape views of the valley below. Ready for Overnight Camp?

Summer camp can be a lot of fun, especially if you are prepared! Involve your child in the packing process and begin packing several weeks in advance to avoid last minute shopping trips. Although it will probably take a while, label all items going to camp with your child’s name. Certainly, your child’s camp will send a packing list, but you can expect some of the following essentials to be on it.

Spiritual Growth at Camp

Kids grow overnight, and we do our best to facilitate what goes into their bodies. On top of that, we have to make sure they stay busy. Soccer games, piano lessons and, no, it doesn’t just stop because school’s out. Summer camp can provide a great opportunity to learn a new skill, make friends, have tons of fun—and also be a great place to grow your child spiritually.

The Bottom Line About Camp Costs

The good news for parents is that there is a camp for just about every budget. While fees to attend camp vary, they can range from only $75 to more than $650 per week for American Camp Association-accredited resident and day camps.

Just a little over 3 hours away, Omaha is the perfect weekend getaway for Kansas City families. Their Henry Doorly Zoo is phenomenal (and KC Zoo FOTZ members get 50% off admission), the Strategic Air Command & Aerospace Museum is a historic treasure, my kids had a blast at the Omaha Children's Museum, and Lauritzen Gardens is lovely.
