Danu Mar 8, 2014 from 8:00 pm until 10:00 pm at JCCC Yardley Hall (12345 College Blvd Overland Park, KS). A high-energy Irish celebration of the Emerald Isle, the music of Danú offers an authentic Irish experience. Using traditional instruments, flute, tin whistle, fiddle, button accordion and bouzouki the music is clever and fun. Danú mixes ancient Irish music with contemporary works to create an unforgettable evening.

Emerald Isle Parade Mar 15, 2014 from 12:00 pm until 2:00 pm at Downtown Lee's Summit. This year’s theme is “Puttin’ on the Green.”Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day by enjoying this annual parade, featuring floats, walking groups, Irish dancers, musicians and more. Other activities include an Irish Breakfast and Gold Coin Hunt for children. Put on your green and join in the fun. Pub crawl organized by Downtown bars and restaurants to follow. The parade lines up at Lee’s Summit High School, 400 S.E. Blue Parkway, then proceeds to S.E. 8th Street and merges onto S.E. Green Street. From Green Street, it heads west on Third Street to S.E. Main Street, then goes north on S.E. Main Street and crosses Second Street to end at the Lee’s Summit United Methodist Church parking lot.

Independence Saint Patrick's Day Parade Mar 15, 2014 from 3:00 pm until 4:00 pm. Parade begins at the Jackson County Shrine (120 1/2 Pleasant Independence, MO). The city of Independence will be celebrating the beginnings of spring with the Independence Saint Patrick's Day Parade on March 15th. Proceeds from this event will benefit children and families receiving support from professionals at the Child Abuse Prevention Association to overcome the trauma of abuse. This event is also a great way for the citizens of Independence to show their pride in our great community.
Belton St. Patrick's Day Parade Mar 15, 2014 from 5:00 pm until 6:00 pm. Parade starts at Hackbery & Main Street, continues on Main Street to Cherry, left to Second Street and back to Hackberry.
Irishpalooza in Martin City Mar 16, 2014 from 11:00 am until 4:00 pm. St. Patrick's Day Parade Route: The parade starts at 2:00 p.m. leaving from Washington and 135th St. and generally lasts until 3:30 p.m. Disperse at Holmes Road, north and south. Parking is available throughout the district.
Shawnee St. Patrick's Day Parade & Duck Race Mar 16, 2014 from 1:00 pm until 3:00 pm. The parade begins at 1:00 p.m. down Johnson Drive from Monrovia east to Nieman Road. Calling all Irish, by heritage or in spirit! Join us for the 32nd annual Shawnee St. Patrick's Parade on Sunday, March 16th. Even if your family tree doesn't’t include an Irish branch, the entire family will have fun cheering on all the great parade entries and at the variety of activities before and after the parade. The awards ceremony is held immediately after the parade at the Knights of Columbus Hall, 11221 Johnson Drive. Winners must be present. to pick up their plaques and cash prizes. Be sure to plan to spend extra time in Downtown Shawnee to enjoy a hearty breakfast at one of the restaurants along the parade route, an Irish corned beef and cabbage lunch at the Knights Hall, or some shopping at one of Shawnee’s unique Downtown merchants. A “Lucky Duck” is way better than a lucky rabbit’s foot! Join us after the Shawnee St. Patrick’s Parade on Sunday , March 16th for the 26th annual Duck Race at 4:30 p.m. Herman Laird Park/Shawnee Town is the new location for the Duck Race. The racing ducks will compete to be the fastest over rapids and obstacles created on a water course. Do you feel lucky? Each yellow duck could be packing $1500 of green! For a $5 donation. You may pick up a duck ticket prior to the race at Jake’s, 12001 Johnson Drive and on race day at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Shawnee. The Parade has become Kansas City’s largest single-day civic event, as well as one of the largest St. Patrick’s Day Parades in the nation.
