Visiting Gieringer's Orchard Pumpkin Patch
Gieringer's Orchard is one of our favorite local family-owned businesses. We look forward to picking strawberries every spring, peaches and blackberries every summer (and blueberries coming NEXT summer) and NOW finding our way through the corn maze and playing in the corn crib.
This fall, Gieringer's Orchard expanded their business opening the area's newest pumpkin patch. Their debut year includes an incredible and interactive corn maze, a giant jack o'lantern jump pad, a mega corn crib, several fun play areas, and scrumptious food trucks on weekends. The patch is off to a great start with a terrific team of friendly employees at the helm. And, all attractions (corn maze, jumping pad, corn crib, play areas) are included in the price of admission! You will want to bring money for pumpkin and food purchases.
So, what is a visitor to expect at Gieringer's Orchard Pumpkin Patch?
Some of our Favorite Features at Gieringer's Orchard Pumpkin Patch:
Gieringer's Orchard is a working farm, but this fall they transform into a delightful fall outing with a super fun corn maze, pumpkin patch, and more. Your visit begins with a short video explaining the special instructions for exploring their corn maze. Adding to the fun of a traditional maze, they provide each child with a puzzle booklet and the kids solve clues as they go through the maze. Also, they cover a few ground rules outlining proper corn maze etiquette to maintain a family-friendly wholesome experience for everyone. Then, a host takes you a short hayride past the giant sunflower field (planted in groups a few weeks apart so guests should enjoy them throughout the season) and to the maze entrance. At the maze, you are offered a choice between the simple and complicated routes. In addition to fun puzzles to solve throughout, the maze includes a lookout bridge so you can scope out the path. Our family chose the difficult route and spent about an hour exploring the maze. This was one of the most fun mazes we've done! Tip: bring bottled water as you explore and use the restroom before you begin.
