Description

Do you have questions about how you can strengthen your relationships? Catholic Charities of Northeast Kansas has answers. Join us in a fun and relaxed group environment for activities and discussions around communication, problem solving, expectations, and creating and maintaining a loving relationship. This free Within My Reach relationship education workshop is led by trained facilitators who provide proven tools for healthy relationships. Participants can also take advantage of one-on-one guidance and community referrals from a family support specialist, if needed.

 

Everyone deserves a great relationship. Individuals of all faiths who are single or dating are welcome.

thru May 1 at Crown Center: Enter an interactive habitat where children learn about the most interesting creatures. Join the polar bear in his cave and help him icefish, slide down the penguin iceberg slide, jump with the kangaroo on a small trampoline, and much more.

And Justice for Some: The Freedom Trial of Anthony Burns [1858]

thru Feb 21: See a true story with an interactive twist at The Coterie. Anthony Burns escaped slavery. Despite a fierce defense at trial, he was returned to his Southern master. You participate as the 1858 Massachusetts State Senate and decide if the judge had other options.

The Diary of Anne Frank

Jan. 29 - Feb. 21: In this gripping Tony Award-nominated adaptation by Wendy Kesselman from the original stage play, newly discovered writings from the diary of Anne Frank and actual survivor accounts are interwoven to tell the chilling story of the lives of people persecuted under Nazi rule, presented by KC Rep.

Pedal to the Metal

Exhibit at the National Museum of Toys and Miniatures: Experience America’s obsession with four-wheeled vehicles big and small in an exploration of the history, design, and production of pedaled playthings.

Crown Center Ice Terrace

Regular admission is $6, or free for adults over age 60 and children age 4 and under. Skate rental is $3, or skaters may bring their own. Two-for-One Tuesdays! After 5 p.m., pay one full price admission and receive a second for FREE. (Skate rental not included.)
